Nicely done!
Andreas

Thanks Andreas!

Good progress here despite having to redo those roundels. All that CDL is a bit daunting...... ;)

A little more paint work done on the Scout. Upper rib tapes painted a lighter CDL. Should look good after a wash is applied to the edges of the tapes. I also did another layer on the underside "See Through" prior to overpainting. I was really pleased until I realized the roundels were a bit too far outboard. Oh well, good practice  :-[
At least you painted the rings in the right colour order, unlike me! But as you say, it's all good practice. If you are going to strip the wing entirely (which I had to do), maybe try your CDL overspray first to see how it looks over the roundels and rib tapes on the underside?

Yep, at least the colors were in the right order.  ::)  So I have done a repaint on the lower surface of the upper wing. First though, we have the Masks for the Strutter . Thanks Fredrik, they look Awesome!

and the Very Subtle repaint of the undersides see through.

In real life the roundels are "Just" visible as are the ribs and spars. If I do another CDL see through thing I will be a bit more daring !

A little more progress on the Scout: All major painting and decaling has been completed. Now for weathering and touch up!

Looking really good. It looks like it's all gone together relatively trouble free, these are great kits to build.

Looking great, Rick. You make me want to get mine going too. I'm impressed by your ability to keep two plates spinning in the air at the same time, something I fail at!.

Nice work, Rick.  Won't be long until the Scout is done.  What's your impression of the molded wing rib tapes, now that you have paint on the wings?

Your Scout is looking lovely Rick, especislly the oil staining. The kit seems to go together really well too.

Thanks Sandy! Multiple planes spinning sometimes causes disaster  :o I actually have an Off topic build going also!

Thanks Ken. Still a way to go but it is getting closer. As for the Rib Tapes, I think they are too pronounced for scale. That being said I feel the same way about WNW kits  :-X My opinion is Rib Tapes are the "New" Starving cow syndrome. JMHO,

Thanks Richie. I am making use of the photos provided in the instructions. Still some more layers to add.

Catching up with progress Rick. I am very impressed indeed with the shadow effect of the roundels under the wings - they look just right to me.

The Scout is an impressive model and was quite a small aircraft: if I ever get to scraatch one in the True Scale I will need to remember just how small they were.

Stephen.
