Lohner Tl - L75 (1/32, Lukgraph)
« on: February 24, 2023, 09:33:47 AM »
I cannot remember when last time I did something like this - start with a kit on the very day I got it in my hands. But this newest release from Lukgraph deserves every madness possible. Even postponing the build of CSM Caudron.
So here it is on my bench. The kit offers two decals options for L127 and L135 and the Hiero engine. However I do not like building the kit options. Thus, and also seeing the info from Windsock Datafile that L127 had the Rapp engine and learning that L135 was from the same UFAG production batch according to Keimel monograph, I decided to build L75 (it will be an easy combination of numerals available in the kit) which apparently had indeed the Hiero engine.
The work started with the 3D printed cockpit elements which are now cut from their printing trees and the surfaces cleaned from the printing layers.
Also the hull halves had the mating surfaces cleaned and small moulding faults at the cockpit headrest zone filled in preparation for final shaping and sanding. Let the fun begin!

I can understand why you put the Caudron temporerorly on hold. I've pictures of this Lukgraph kit and it looks like a great kit.

I'm in the front row following this build.

Although the CSM Caudron doesn‘t deserve to be pushed aside  :'( I am keen on seeing you working on this one, too!

I too am looking forward to seeing this build and I don't mind the Cauldron being put aside. I am sure you will not forget about it.

I am always interested in flying boats - especially when the model is eing built by a master modeller. I will certainly be following this one.

Thank you for looking in and leaving kind comments.

After a busy weekend the cockpit is basically ready for closing.
