While the CA glue in the hull seam is setting I have cutthe elements of the engine assembly.  The engine has the intake manifolds and the water tank separate (finally!) I also decided and managed to carefully separate the carbs assembly and the water pump - all for more ease at cleaning the omnipresent 3Dprinting layers and subsequent airbrushing. Now the sanding paper will be extensively used.

I'm sorry but it is due to me living in the vicinity of the manufacturer. A few other modellers from Poland got their copies already, too.

The hull seam is during the second filling and sanding session. Still some work with the sand paper to be done.

The engine block after the second session of removal of printing layers. Almost acceptable now...

And the separated engine installations after the first session, still some work is required here.

Tedious but vital...

Thanks, Steve and Tim.

That new Lukgraph's idea for the 3Dprinted struts, where you make your own inserts from the provided copper wire is very promising.

With some patience and with holes drilled in the marked spots it even allows for some dry fitting!

Super update. I do like the idea of copper wire inserts in the struts - I have to do that on my larger scale models.

Weekend with riddles solving. First one was about the rigging of the engine support. Quite a number of lines there but I managed to make it out and drill the holes for the eyelets. Not much to show here. And I still have to decide if I use the fishing line or Uschi thread there.

Secondly, the layout of the struts supporting the stabilizer. If you try this model take care, there is a mistake in the kit instruction, the lengths for green 1 and 2 are swapped.
I did some measurements and calculations and confirmed that these 8 struts indeed come in two lengths of 27 and 35mm.
Then I added the wire inserts and drilled the holes in the stabiliser and the hull bracings to accept them.
Also, I decided to reinforce the future joint between these bracings and the hull surface using additional wire inserts.

Great problem solving. The copper wire will be stiff enough?

Taken the short length of the inserts, their 0.5 or 0.8mm dia and the type of loading they are going to bear I am quite positive about it.  8)

And some more drilling and wires. The empennage is all reinforced and can be successfully assembled without any glue.
