Good Lord! I had no idea those Lewis drums were scratch from brass. I assumed punched plastic discs.  You are truly an artist with incredible skill. I’m in line for your book as well!

It is often said that an IQ of 160 is the level of genius. Is it a burden to manage your IQ of 175? All kidding aside it was a joy to witness your limitless talent. I do hope you'll post often.

Thanks for shooting and sharing.
Fan of scale models either static, RC, or rubber powered.

Thank you again everybody for the kind comments.  It really does mean a lot and encourages me to keep going.  I've added a few more shots below which were taken just recently, while I fiddle about with camera angles for the book.  Next up are some Nieuports.  :)

I've out of commission for a while and missed this. My loss entirely, your jeweller's precision continues to amaze. I was scared off trying to scratch a DH.2 in 1/32 by the complexity of this odd little fighter. How you manage such perfection in 1/144 is beyond my wildest imaginings. I absolutely love it!!!!

Oh sweet lord, that is absolutely amazing. I’m not sure if that makes me inspired or make want to take up knitting instead.

Thank you everyone! That is very kind  :)
I’m glad it is completed and in such a relatively short time.  A funny thing happened during the last covid lockdown, and I received a chance to put together a book on the subject of scratch building WWI aircraft in 1/144 scale.  After a brief panic I realised I better up my game and boost my output to meet the deadline.  I haven’t got a title yet, but this one will be chapter four.  Next up is a pair of Nieuport 17s.  One French and the other an RFC machine. After that a Fokker D.VIII if things go well 🤞

Do take your time. You have one patient buyer here at least. If I haven’t switched to knitting by then  ;D

I'd love to see a Sopwith Tripe in 1/144. 😉

Thank you so much.  I really do appreciate it!  Sometimes I look at them and think, how on earth???   :o

The Nieuports are coming along.  More on those later, I hope.

The match head is almost as wide as the Nieuport e fine cowling. That's outrageous! Will definitely be buying your book but don't think my ham fists will be attempting the squinty eyed scale any time soon!
