No, probably not! Not until Bertl's next model at least. 😀

I'm guessing that you will find the wings quite rigid once you're done with the wiring. Unless you use elastic thread that is...

I think we need a new rule: no shrink-rays or 1/1 projects with oversize props to fool us into thinking we're looking at a scale model.

Bertl, this is truly magnificent!!

Well, I have been printing this out for future reference. I wish I could print out Bertl's skills too, as mine won't come anywhere near. Bertl, you HAVE TO  take this to Telford and the rest of the top European contests, just so that everyone can see how bad the winners are compared to this model.

Great to catch up here on your work on the model, Bert. Looking forward to seeing the rigging completed on the wings.
Cheers,
Gary

Let's start with the rigging of the wings.
First, the tensioning ropes of the top side are threaded into the counter bearings of the wings, then a loop is formed and fixed with a short cut micro-polyimide capillary tube.
Then carefully stretch, trim the MPC tubing and glue with super glue.
Glue is applied to the end of the tube - not to the loop, which passes through the wire counter-bearing of the wings.

Here again the front tensioning cables of the upper tower and its counter-tensioning in the direction of the engine cowling.
The upper bracing of the wing warping comes only at the end.

It's more difficult on the underside, because the model is fixed to the board.
At the bottom, each tension cable is already threaded and "pre-tensioned" but nothing is glued yet.

To carry out the tensioning of the wing warping, the model had to be taken out of the fixation - here too, everything threaded and pre-tensioned but nothing glued yet.
So far, only the two front tension ropes on top have been glued.

The next step is to thread and tension the upper tensioning cables of the surface twisting.
Let's see if the resin tensioning pulley can withstand the whole process or if it will break .... .
The model itself is very fragile and can only be handled with extreme caution.
I'll be glad when the thing has finally found a place in the showcase and will be taken out only every few months (years?) To brush off the dust.....
..... and spiders  :)
