Fokker D.VII - 4 Wlkp Sqdr - Józef Hendricks (1/72, Eduard-Part)

I am still waiting for the veneers for the final propeller. But next weekend Fokker is going to debut in a modelling contest so I was forced to prepare a more decent painted version of the propeller. And I took this chance to make a photo session. So here are a couple of shots of my vision of Fokker D.VII from 4. Wielkopolska Squadron flown by Józef Hendricks who made over 50 sorties during his service with this unit fighting against soviets in 1920. In the majority of them he used his personal a/c, adorned with his white initials and numbered 504/18 by Poznań-Ławica air station.

   Beautiful "clean" finish Prze, and wonderful detail. I also am impressed to no end with the Lozenge work, particularly well done in this small scale. An impressive model and more so given it's in "God's Scale" as some call it!

As always your models look much larger in the photographs than they are in reality. The spoked wheels in particular are exceptionally good. Very many congratulations on another outstanding model.

Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. I am truly glad that you like this model. For me it is very special, because it is related to the persons and the squadron having roots in my part of Poland, city of Poznań and region of Great Poland (Wielkopolska). 100 years ago they fought bravely in the east in the years after Poland had to protect its freshly regained independence... It seems the history is never really changing, but it is circling all around the same problems...
