Stuart,
All I can say is “Keep ‘er lit!” and you’ll soon have it completed.
It’s really looking good.

I'm with them - stick with it and do what you feel is right, of course, but I do like the current colour.

Three weeks since I started rigging, the majority is done.  I have the landing gear lines yet to go.  The photo etch booms, and other bits took a real beating trying to rig this beast.  Vallejo paint is very fragile.  So, lots of touch ups in my future.  And my DSLR macro skills are still awful.

Oh my God... how did you do this? I have the same kit and looking at the cobweb you managed heroically to set up with the rigging... I think I will sell the box!!!

:-O

Great work Stuart, hats off!

Yes, that maze of lines looks daunting.

Exactly what I was thinking! I was taken aback by these photos, they very starkly show just how much rigging is involved. Bravo Stuart!

She's looking suitably birdcage-like with all that rigging. Nice work, I must pull mine to the top of the stash.

That looks better with every update. The rigging does look complex when completed but tackled systematically it is can be done - just time consuming! A mini-masterpiece is well on the way.

Wobbly booms are not at all helpful which is why I always use brass rod or florists wire for my models - the metal is sufficiently rigid to stop that problem.

impressive result so far.
A model thrives on its overall impression and not on that every little disagreement over the original is hyped up as a disaster
