Thank you for the review Brad.
I just want to say I find it odd that there is no French Salmson among the four KP offerings.
Hopefully this will be amended with later reissues.

Thanks Enathan - it's a really great point; unusual indeed. I suspect you're right, at some point French markings should be released for this one; it is a French aircraft, after all :)

Cheers,

Hi all - I'm very pleased to present an inbox review of the new re-release of Eduard kit 8113, their well known and well loved Albatros D.V kit in 1/48:

https://forum.ww1aircraftmodels.com/index.php?topic=13239.0

This is a great kit, and I plan to follow the in box review up with a full build review shortly.

Many thanks to Eduard for the review sample.

Cheers!

I was just wondering what this kit has to do with WW1? Does`nt really bother me that it's here but I think Just a minute would call it deviation!

Andrew

The P40 review is posted on our World of Scale Models board - the place where members can discuss non-WW1 subjects. I'm sure you would appreciate that many of our members are not just WW1 only modellers.

The World of Scale Models board is the home for all those non WW1 topics and we also feature reviews of non WW1 kits there.

All of our reviews are also previewed in the ongoing New Kits and Accessories info thread on Whats New. However our review boards are in two places- the WW1 related items and the non WW1 kits on the World of Scale Models board.

Reviews don't get any better than that, Brad! Thanks.

As lovely as this old kit is, I think fifty US dollars is "somewhat" overpriced .. as most of Eduard's recent offerings.

Hey Gene, I sympathize. I try and shop locally but I am using the48ers.com more often. They are in Cyprus. While that exact Albatros is currently not in stock it sells for 17.46 Euros. Being on par with the US dollar right now means the only addition is shipping which is relatively inexpensive and arrives in a couple of weeks. No involvement with the operation other than as a satisfied customer.

Hi Dave
Point taken. As I said I wasn't bothered about it,just curious, and I do have some ww2 fighter kits. I just need to find some time to start making them and all the others in the stash, I can't seem to figure out why now that i'm retired I don't seem to have any spare time !!!! Keep up the good work.
Cheers

Hi folks

I have just uploaded Zac Yates' latest Forum review- this one is for the Special Hobby 1/48 scale Pfalz E.1

While not a new release it's a worthwhile addition to the WW1 lineup and Zac's review can be found here:

Great, indeed! 👏👏👏 I'd buy a bunch of those Breguets - if they only were in 1/32th scale… 😢
