1/72 Airfix Albatros DVa modified/improved
« on: July 16, 2021, 08:33:11 PM »
Dear all -

This one has now been completed so here it is in all it's glory mounted on my simple display base for your perusal.

I've now started work on the Valom 1/144 Sopwith Camel and Triplane kit set - just a 'small' build this time :D

Regards

Dave

I can barely believe such an old Airfix kit could be made into something so beautiful. It's a fantastic result, I really enjoyed the build thread too.

I built quite a few of these when I was younger. They never looked as good as yours.  A great looking model of an old classic.

Many thanks, Bob, Manni and Marc -

I admit this was a very enjoyable little project (if a bit daunting at first) and overall I am very pleased with this one.

Just got back today Dave - hence the slow response. You have made a real silk purse from a sow's ear with this model - a mini-masterpiece. The base is excellent - simple but effective. I am so pleased that I managed to persuade you to attempt this one - a real success story for you.

Stephen.
