Thank you, Steve -

It was daunting to begine with but once I got more into it I really enjoyed this little project.

The posed control surfaces are cool.  I need to try that.  Nice model!

Many improvements indeed!  The prop looks as if it is separate from the spinner, rather than the single blob provided in the kit.  Is that an optical trick created by black outlining at the base of the prop, or did you actually cut it out?
Thanks,
Rick

Hello, Rick -

Thanks, mate!

Yes, I cut the original molded prop from the spinner and used a prop from my spares box.  I could then file the cut in the spinner for it to fit then added a back plate made from plastic sheet.

Hi Dave,

I've just been reading through your build thread for this little beauty. Excellent work, if I may say so! I like the trestle, it's a great touch, and the base is something I must try.

May I just ask whose paint you used for the green/mauve camouflage and what shades they are? (Apart from just "green" and "mauve", obviously :D)

Kind regards,

Mark

Beautiful work Dave!  What did you use for the rigging for such a small
model?  By the way, the base is really well done!

Ernie :)

Great work on an old basic kit turned into a modern standards model, and a very good one.

Dave,
Congratulations on a lovely model. Like most here I've done a few (or more!) of these over the years and as Monty pointed out earlier they also never looked this good! It's nice to see an old classic such as this shine!
Cheers,
Lance

Hello, Mark - thank you!

The paint I always use are Revell 'Aqua colour' acrylics.  The green is dark no. 39.  However, Revell don't offer a purple colour in their range so I used 'Game Colour' Ozing purple.

Thank you, Ernie -

Rigging material used is a nylon sewing mending thread (sold on a sewing reel) which is smoke coloured - relatively fine and being coloured meant I did not have to paint it.
