At Telford last year, I was fortunate to meet and chat with David Bremner, who built and flies a Bristol Scout. A great guy, and he was very helpful when I emailed him a couple of weeks ago asking for help with references. I was looking for more info on weapons, but the photos and drawings he sent made me realise I needed to modify the fuselage!
I am building an early aircraft which had the oil tank behind the pilot. I hadn't realised it was so prominent, and also that the rear edge of the cockpit was vertical, not sloped, and extended higher.

So, surgery was required! The rear decking was removed back to the canvas, and a new piece was designed with the tank integral, to ft in its plac

That's an early rendering, subsequent printing and fitting checks dictated redesigns of various aspects, but I now have what I think is a useable part.

I wanted to paint it today, but my CDL has gone lumpy. More has been ordered so I just have to wait for that to arrive from Italy!
Thanks for looking in!
