Thank you.

The floats are now armed with fittings and rigging eyelets, so the assembly has started.

Thanks.
And to conclude today work, the upper wings connected using the same jig. And the interplane struts after extensive repair work with CA glue and plastic inserts. Some air bubbles are still there, but below the surface 🙂

Hi,

I about to start on this kit myself, so I have been following along. I see that you moved the locating holes for the N-struts on the floats. Does this change the vertical distance between the floats and the fuselage or are all the struts the proper length, with just the mounting holes in the wrong places?

Best,

Dave

The kit struts fit perfectly the locating holes in the kit (3D design). When the holes are moved the entire assembly changes. I have made my templates based on the dimensions from SVK acceptance sheets printed in Herris book. With these ready it turned out that the front and rear legs of the Ns are quite fine but the diagonal intermediate strut had to be much longer.

It's a fascinating montage full of lessons. You make me want really to get this kit and give it a shot, despite the difficulties.
Many thanks.

I am following ao many projects I lost track of this for a week or so and checked in to see amazing progress with lots of clever modelling solutions. Have made note of the use of jigs! :)
