Very nice. Seeing your work on this Roden kit makes me thinking, I maybe get one, too. It is a so much appealing crate...

Sorry Rick but this one slipped under my radar and i had not seen that you had started. What you have done so far is well up to your usual very high standard- I hope it continues and that the gremlins whi have been bothering your builds of late will have been banished to somewhere else.

Stephen.

Looking great o far Rick, I really like the wood tone you went for. The internal details look excellent too.

Really pity that most of this art will be hidden. Like my Eduard one - I painted the fuel tank brass, but it is hidden completely!

Cheers,

Great start on the Siemens Schuckert, Rick! They still have this rotary hanging from a factory wall of Siemens in Nuremberg. Sadly it’s not open for public visiting.
Best regards,
Andreas

I have made a lot of progress on the interior. Some Bren Gun PE, Eduard and WNW Instruments, and strtched sprue wires. The seatbelts are from a WNW DVII. Lots of touch up needed but shouldn't be to bad to do. I also started the process of altering the hand hold openings and bar on the rear fuselage sides.

PS: Although the Bren Gun PE seat back is perfect for the wood seat with lightening holes I couldn't help but think it would have been leather padded in service. I therefore used the kit seat.  ( The only photos I have show it pretty much stripped down or unknown if on an operational DIII. I could be wrong but I like the results.

Excellent work again Rick, the interior detailing looks very convincing. I think you must be right about the leather padding on the seat, it would surely have been too uncomfortable without it. Your leather cour look great too. 😀
