Revells FW 190 A-8 1/32
« on: March 17, 2021, 12:16:27 AM »
The two projects on the bench will be coming to end soon and I need something else to help take my mind off things . So I pick this one out of the stash which has one or two goodies to dress it up a bit . I have built their new tool F-8 in 32 scale when it come out and it was a pure joy to build to the point I picked up another one which is sitting in the stash .
This release was a Christmas Gift when it was released in 2019 . ( Same parts ) .

So here are the items which I will try and add to this build .

RB Productions Luftwaffe Seatbelts

Master Barrels Armament set

Aires Gun Bay for the wings

Quickboost Tail wheel Assembly

Quickboost Fuel Point with Covers

Eduard mask set

Eduards PE wheel Bay

Eduards Landing flaps

Eduards Brass landing gear and resin wheels

Eduards resin prop and spinner

Eduards resin gun deck ( top of fuselage )

Eduards resin cockpit set

Eduards resin engine

I think this should be enough for now or to get me started . I will be using the kit decals for this one , I like the schemes thet have and the other marking option for this will be used on the other one still in the stash . As soon as room is made on the bench , work will begin .

Alexis,
Great subject and with that inventory of A/M Goodies and your skills it's going to be a really spectacular Build! I've always liked the "lines" of this aircraft, looking forward to following along!
Cheers,
Lance

Very nice choice Alexis, looking forward to this. The current generation of 1/32 Revell kits are great value for money, I'm working on their Spit IIa at the moment, backdated to a MkI. They're great as they are but are so cheap that I can lash out on AM goodies with a clear conscience.I would prefer a sturdier box, but that's a minor issue.
Cheers,
Dave.

Have you added up what that little lot will cost you Alexis?  :o

It’s funny though, I’m the same, I’ve just bought a Tamiya 1/72 Thunderbolt as I’d seen a set of panel masks from a Polish manufacturer and thought I’d love to try that, bought the kit, then the postage for the masks was silly, then a PE set etc before you know it, a £15 kit is suddenly £50  ??? ...and it’s 1/72...

Guy , have no idea how much it all cost . The enjoyment which it will bring one can't put a price on it  ;)

I know that you will make a first class model from this Alexis, but how much of it will be the Revell kit when it is completed? The FW 190 has lines which I find aesthetically appealing so I will follow along too.

I am looking forward to this one Alexis. I once owned one of these but decided I didn't have room for 1/32nd WW2 kits.

Nice one, Alexis.. The Nightfighter fell from the skies into my stash recently... The Prop really needs replacement, but the rest OK... OK, also seat-belts and some cockpit stuff....  Regards, Marc.
