Great stuff. Like the canvas effect on your first effort and camo on the Salmson!

Looks like it has a lot of surface detail.  Nice!

Excellent progress on your build Rick , lovely job on the inners to boot !

I do like the second option better then the first one , then again with stripes it's hard to argue with that  :)

Wow, the fuselage is already closed - that can be called progress!
I'm sure it will be a nice add on to you collection of SPADs.

Cheers,
Frank

I haven't been on the forum for a couple of days and there's another great subject with the fuselage already closed. I see a lot of louvres, are you gonna open them up? I have a Spad in the stash so I wonder if it's possible.
Nice work on the cockpit.

Nice work on the cockpit.

Thanks for commenting! The louvres can be opened but I will use a wash. Trying to keep this one as simple as possible  ::)

I added the lacing to the left fuselage side using Archer Fine Transfers Decal:

PS: I still have a bit of filling and sanding to do  ::)

Wow, Rick, you really snuck this one right in under the radar! But lovely and really beautifully detailed work! And what a great subject... I'm enjoying this a lot! Regards, Marc.

Thanks Marc! I am not really doing anything special on this one. Far less interior detailing than on the SPAD XIII's  ;D This one will be more about the scheme than the detail...or so I hope  8)

Really Rick! First you write that you did not intend to post a build log, then when you do you go roaring away like an express train! How are we supposed to keep up with you?

This has gone together so quickly I am struggling to keep up! I notice that once again you are adding lots of lovely detail which you then proceed to (rapidly) cover up!

Either of those schemes would be good - but it is your choice and I am sure that whatever you choose it will be another great model.

Stephen.

Wow, that fuselage really looks great. These Archer stitchings look much better than PE stitching, I am thinking of buying that stuff.

Thanks Andreas. The Archer Transfers are great. That being said they are NOT cheap! Also get them while you can as I saw something on FB that said they No Longer have access to the resin they used.
