Thanks Kevin and Rick ,

Today's goal , if I make to the hobby room . Is to get the top wing mounted and start making turnbuckles . For such a small aircraft it sure has a lot of rigging !

Alexis , who should be shoveling the walk way  :o

It will melt by next weekend , calling the weathering to be on plus side !

Thanks Guy for following long  :)

Top wing is now mounted ! Boy is the fuselage fuck't on this kit . Trying to line up the top wing took two attempts on getting it center . The cockpit opening is not squared with the fuselage , right side on the fuselage is slightly fatter then the right side . I did remove some but I didn't want to spend the rest of life sanding away . The wing does sit level and is plum with the lower wing . Wing struts still need to be glued in place the out ones need their pins trimmed a bit more . Not sure how this happened but the wings are starting to warp , easy fix though . At least my strut measurements are right ! I was worried about that .

Looks good with the wing in place. As for the alignment to the fuselage just don't take a photo looing down on the cockpit  ::) Seriously, great work as always Alexis

An observation, if I might.  Don’t forget the dark grey between the cowling and the lower wing leading edge.

Hi Brian , thanks for the reminder on this ...I still have the black band on the cowl to do as well ...ooooopps ! ::)

I got carried away with mounting the top wing , will have this taken care of before I start the rigging .

Thanks for cover my back Brian  :)

I keep missing this one Alexis as I am not used to dropping into this part of the forum. It seems that you are not the only one to be having problems with your current build, but you are at least continuing and I am sure that the end result will be worth it. Mind you I understand your frustration when you have done so much to get things looking right and then the kit lets you down. It will be worthwhile though because this is such an unusual type - that always gets my vote.

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen ,

Over all the build is going well if I could just remember to do some things first  ::) This is a kit which will test your skills working with resin kits . Not the worst one I have built and won't be my last one  ;)

Okay , I believe things should be back on track . The Black on the cowl was masked and hand painted using Vallejo Model Color semi flat black . The grey on the lower part of the fuselage by the cowl I painted Tamiya Neutral grey by hand as well which didn't turn out the greatest , but it will do .
