Nice touch on those straps. But, why did you install them before painting? I would do it afterwards to save efforts with masking.

Work on cleaning up and pinning the struts , micro holes are drilled in the struts for some self made buckles . Two struts remain the and work on the pulleys is up next ...

Today's focus was starting to make the pulleys .

Not much progress I know , but this took a few hours to get this done , true , some of that time was staring into space it was still liberating !

Off to a good start, what brand disc punch do you utilize?
I just picked up the RP Toolz product, should arrive soon, hope it works good. There is something very relaxing about modeling, at least most the time

Grant , the punches I use are a few different ones . The black set is Hasegawa tri tool and the other ones I got from my Dad many years ago they are a little dull which need to be sharped but I have no idea where to get that done .

Any disc which is smaller I just slice from evergreen rod stock

I think that's pretty cool that you have some of your fathers modeling tools, you must got introduced into the hobby by him I assume.

No problem Grant , you are very welcome . My Dad never built models , these are punches he use as a heavy duty mechanic .
Not sure what for , but they are perfect for modeling .
