Rick, I had some catching up to do, but I love your results. I am always most impressed with your productivity. How do you do that? Your day only has 24 hours, or do you also work at night?  ;D

Cheers,
Frank

RAGIII,
I can't keep track of which model is Meng and which is Roden. They both look fantastic.

                                                                                                                    Kevin

Thanks Kevin. It is easy to tell the difference...The Roden kit has Round access hatches and the Meng ones are Rectangular  ;D

Both are shaping up to be very impressive models, Rick.

Thanks for commenting Ken!

I have had to catch up with these builds Rick, and I am bowled over by the stripey looks! Both models are very impressive indeed - particularly the one with wings and fuselage. Your painting skills really are second to none. I also think that the WNW engines are mini-masterpieces and make a super addition to any model.

Stephen.

Thanks Stephen! I always appreciate you feedback!

I worked on the Roden kit and have modified/cut apart the Roden landing gear legs to fit the Wide chord Axle wing from the Meng DR1. I also began to work on the Spandaus. Finally the Aviattic cowling painted and sitting in place.

I also installed the Machine Guns, wheels, Rudder, and cowling on the Meng DR1

PS: I also did a little touch up on the band of the Roden kit  ;D

RAGIII,
Looks like you had a very productive weekend. The Tripes are looking even better.

Incredible, there are four planes on your bench in total if I counted properly. My deepest respect. And all look amazing!

You continue to amaze Rick!  These are beautiful and will likely inspire some other Dr.I builds in the not-too-distant future.  Outstanding! ;D

Best,

Andreas, more impressive are 10 wings on this 4 planes :o
Ok, now that are 3 planes, but still 8 wings - very impressive, also in terms of quality and productivity!

Cheers,
Frank

Yes, down to three and thanks for the comment! Today I did a small amount on the Triplanes to get back in the Saddle so to speak. Rudders and rudder crosses added to both. I used the wheels from an old Roden Albatros DIII(OAW) for the larger diameter on the Roden DR1. In addition I used a repurposed PE part from the Toms Model Works Pfalz set as the frame for the inspection window on the Roden upper wing. I had a spare wood panel from a WNW DVII so used that as it really can't be read! Finall, I started detail painting on the MG's and other things.
