Thanks for checking in, Stephen, Frank, and Rick.
Things have started moving along faster now. I'm working on the aileron controls on the bottom of the wing. Then the landing gear to get it on its feet.

Spent time in the shop today.
Got the wing rigging and lower wing aileron controls wired.
The 504 has a quite a bit of rigging. Here's an aileron control system component that I blackened chemically.
Installed in place on the lower wing.
Starting on the landing gear now.
Till next time...

Thank you, my friends. Your comments are most appreciated.
I've got the landing gear on and braced up - it's looking good.
Now for the wheels...

Those aileron brackets are a work of art in themselves. Stupendous modelling.

Thanks for stopping by, Stephen. Some of these details are visually impressive, but are quite simple. The aileron rigging component is a flat plate with holes drilled in it and PE turnbuckles folded over and attached with monofilament 'bolts'.
Here's a somewhat poor picture of the landing gear and toothpick installed.
I've machined out some wheels with the center axle detail.
Rolling along, now.

The gear and skid are as amazing as the rest of the build! Simply Gorgeous work!

PS: I forgot to mention those machined wheels....brilliant!

Yes, Alexis, its kind of scary. No surprise the gear were taken out on hard landings. Hopefully this one won't experience that.
Thanks Rick. This should be finished in 2-3 weeks now.

Ken, this is soooooo lovely!
And finished in 2-3 weeks? You are faster with a scratch build than I am with a kit
Cheers,
