Sopwith Triplane "Black Maria", Eduard 1/48
My fifth model of 2020 is a important piece of aviation history: the Sopwith Triplane as flown by Raymond Collishaw in the Black Flight.
It is in scale 1/48 and based on the Eduard kit. Some kit parts are replaced by wood and metal e.g. airscrew, tail skid and cockpit parts. Beside the kit PE I used PE from the company Parts, the Clerget engine from Small Stuff, the seat belts are made by HGW and the terminals for the RAF wire rigging is from Gaspatch.
The paints are from Mr.Paint, especially the nice PC12 needs to be mentioned, Alclad, Gunze and oil paints for the weathering.
Without the great support of our forum members the project would not have been possible - Thank you very much!
I really like the final look of the model ...
