Today I made some fairleads for the controls from styrene rod cut at an angle. I will most likely need to sand them a bit more once primed and I can tell how they look. In addition I added PE from Toms to the Pfalz wing, as well as the control horns.

That Roden Pfalz is really tempting me -I have the WnW D.IIIa but somehow the original D.III always looked even more elegant to me... Despite it being probably a bit more work than the WnW version.

Thanks Terri, Kevin, and Jeroen! I appreciate your support! Today I broke out a 30 year old bottle of Floquil Old Silver and primed the Pfalz and Nieuport. Final finishes will be Tamiya mixtures

I really miss Floquil Old Silver for that very reason , perfect for natural metal finishes . Both are looking good Rick , looking forward on seeing your choice for silver/grey on the Pfalz .

The radiator on the Pfalz looks excellent Rick - a big improvement on plastic parts.

That silver finish is also very realistic - as others have commented just the right amount of sheen. Two more excellent models on the way here....

Thanks to all for the positive and encouraging comments! So today is only a Very Small update. I masked the outline for the rudder cross on the Pfalz then sprayed the Jasta 10 Chrome Yellow on the tail and Nose. Next will be the overall Silbergrau finish.
