That is a nice looking engine. I had to go back to post #1 to check the scale.

Thanks for the kind comment guys  :)

Not much to report on progress but the fuel tank was eating at me so I sanded off the straps , filled the seems and primed it with Tamiya flat alum . At the same time I brush paint some Tamiya tape brown shade to replace the leather straps once it has been repainted . Will also use better buckles then what the kit offers . So much for out of the box  ::)

This one has crept up on me so I have been catching up (again)! The engine looks very good and the modifications to the fuel tank are undoubtedly a big improvement. Nothing wrong with improving what is in the box.

Thanks guys for tagging a long still and for leaving kind comments , they sooth the soul ! :)

Stephen , I just wanted to have a easy build without having to over think the details . I like building out of the box every now and then . For me doing the super detailing and such bogs me down sometimes . Once I get more of the pfalz completed will turn a bit more attention to this one .

The induction pipes were too clean so I dirty them up a bit giving them an aged look and I left the fuel tank in the flat alum and glue on the new leather tie down straps .

I agree with Rick - your wood tones always look realistic to me.
