Looks fantastic Terri!  Your 1/48 looks better than my 1/32. ;)  Superb modeling and finish.  Very nicely done.

Best regards,

Bob

it takes me a few tries on getting the right diameter from heat stretching q-tips . I also drop many ....
I see you are from Canada ;)
Since a year or so q-tips with a plastic shaft are no more sold in Europe for environment reasons! Cotton swabs are still available but the shaft is wrapped from paper so you would not be able to stretch them to a small diameter ;D
So if you still can get some, you should store some packages for future use ...

Cheers,
Frank

The rigging is looking great T! I admire those who can do this before attaching the upper wing...something I have Never Mastered!

Thanks guys  :)

Bob , not sure about that . I missed details which I should have caught . Yours is far better then this little one  ;)

Frank , Yup Kanada ! I have an endless supply of them . After the cotton swab is ued I cut off the cotton and save the shafts for later . They are very cheap to buy at the dollar store . 200 for buck ! It won't be long before the rest of world starts putting bans on plastic .

Rick , I started doing that a few years back , just makes it easier if some lines are in place already . Some aeras are very tight and hard to get the line through the eyelets .

I did make a little progress yesterday , but it was more napping then anything else . Tail planes are weathered and the flight controls on the main wings . Also finally got the gun put together with a few colouful words as well . No pictures , batteries died and are charging up so will have pic's later this evening .

Here are the photos .

The white I highlighted the ribs with a grey pastel chalk with a light yellow sand along the leading edges and the sealed with Vallejo flat clear .

The paraldrum is ready for paint . I left the ammo drum off and will have that resting either on the seat or the folding table once everything else is finally finished . Next step is mounting the main wings and struts .

With the white parts on the picture the camera make the picture darker - the look of the now darker wood improved again.
That bird will be a big show!

The fabric ailerons really make the wood finish pop. This is going to be a stunningly beautiful model.

Love the look of the canvas with the wood!  You really did a nice job on that parabellum!
