This looks like it would be a difficult plane to get in and out of, with the cabane strut behind the cockpit.
(And its sooo small  ;D)

Looking good Terri. What is the material you are using for the rigging? It looks metallic in the photo.
Thanks and keep up the great work,

Hi Ken , Rick and Kevin . Thanks guys for the continuing support on this build . It is really needed with this one .

Ken , it's even worse with the top wing in place ...it's like the monkey bars at the local playground .

Kevin , I'm using smoked invisible thread ( mono line ) I pick this up at one of the local fabric shops about 15 years ago it was around 6 bucks for it , but there is MORE than a lifetime supply ! You can get it clear as well . The clear can be pick up at the dollar store or buck or two . ( spool in the background of photo )

After spending a few hours the top wing is now mounted and the struts in place . I only had to shorten one strut from the twist in the wing . With all the wrapping of the parts I tried my best to get everything line up and straight in relation to that warpage . I total missed making the bracing struts for the tail planes so I will do this when I rig up the flight controls  ::)
This will set over night to dry up more ....the rigging begins .

Thanks Rick ! :) Fingers crossed that the struts for the floats go well . I really haven't done much test fitting with this so I'm hoping that it doesn't come back and bite me in the ass .

Terrific work on this little gem, Terri. Hats off to you for the work you've done and how well it's looking so far. Following this one closely.
Cheers,
Gary

Thank you Gary and Robin ! :)

After inventing a whole new language during the rigging of this bi-plane .( Had a few lines break and one I had to redo three times !) The main rigging is now done and can move on the the floats .

Gotta say Terri, you've tamed this handful of a beast rather well! The strut layout makes the top wing addition look like a real challenge and the rigging appears anything but simple. I can see why it was on the shelf for a while but it's almost there, and looking very nice!
Cheers,
Lance

Howdy Lance ! Taming the beast is an understatement . I don't know why I punish myself so and wonder if I'm actually crazy enough to continue down the rabbit hole , but I could only come up an answer that's fitting ...dame rights I'm chasing that rabbit !!!

Thanks Rick , must say though a little out of shorts with rigging in 48 scale . Got used to rigging in 32 scale . Fingers don't work the same like they used too .
