I don't see anything wrong with the finish in the pictures.  If it bothers you that much, maybe the pastel chalks can improve the appearance by lightening out the heavy spots?

Ken , that was my plan and it did pay off for the most part . Some areas not so much , but it is an improvement .

Weathering is done and everything got a finally seal lucking in the pastels . Up next can start making the eyelets and can start assembly on this bird .

Ken , Rick and Ed . Thanks guys ! 8)

Ed , I actually started this build a few years ago and it ended up as a shelf queen , wish I was that quick with all my builds ....

Lower wings are fixed in place as well as the cab strut and per did the rigging lines so they can be tensioned right way once the top wing and inner inter struts are in place and glued is dried . The port side of the lower line as it's rigging lines , still have the starboard side to do before the top wing gets mounted .
