Fokker DR 1/32 Roden
« on: August 06, 2019, 07:09:48 PM »

Hello,
Return to aircraft from the octet of the Great War. A model known and liked or not or Fokker DR from Roden hit my workshop.
At the beginning I do not know what to write about the set - shotrun or model you know :).
This is my training model so I do not stick to authenticity, I will try to do my best.
For now what I created.

and matching the whole

You've chosen a great model to start your WW.I Aircraft Modelling adventure, a good solid Kit and your wood and linen look great as already noted. By the looks of your work so far you are off to a spectacular start ....... enjoy!
Cheers,
Lance

Hello,
Thank you for very kind words about my previous work. As for the add-ons, of course, I use Eduard and Part photo parts, but most of them I did myself - strengthening the hull. I also used the CMS engine and a small digression here is not much better made what Roden offers. Soon it will show the entire interior before closing the hull. I imitate plywood on Talens inks and then a very thin layer of varnish. And I don't paint, I only paint with acrylic paints, because I once got poisoned with some enamel and I'm allergic.

If this is a training mosdel I cannot wait to see what you do on a serious one. This is better than many models that I see in shows, the linen and wood in particular are first class.

Hey,
Progress from work. And now for people who would like to mount the engine with CSM- you need to grind the cover by 1.5mm in diameter to fit. Roden did it very roughly.

And right away, I decided not to paint. I will try to do it

And I managed to get such a miracle

As for the Lone Modeller question,
here is a sample of what I can and what I have broken :), although I know that this is not a forum but you can show it and I apologize for that immediately.

Hello,
Work progress ...
I was able to do my project a little bit.
I made a pilot chair from scratch because I didn't like the Parta chair. I made a small variation with the arrangement of the clock: D. (finally a test - reminder).
I have a tank and ammunition cartridges left and I will close the hull.

Outstanding work on the interior, this is a real joy to watch unfold! Did you make the compass from scratch or is it from another Kit?
