Outstanding work on the Tate and the Roland is looking very nice with the cockpit parts . I like how you did the planking join lines , the saw tooth stands out nicely ! :)

Your RE8 looks amazing! Nicely done on adding the missing sponsored markings!

Super job Gary,

Is it just me? The standard of modelling seems to have zoomed upwards lately..

I’m finding it hard to keep up..  ???

Hey Terri, Richard, Guy and Bob - thanks so much for those words on the projects!

Guy - you comment on the standard of work you see on this forum and I have to agree. Seeing the great work displayed here pushes me to learn, try new techniques, and make my current and next builds better than the last.

Cheers,
Gary

You may add me to the list of those who believe the standard of modelling on this site is improving in quantum leaps! It's at the same time inspiring and frustrating to me as I realize my own limitations; on the positive side it's a lot of fun trying to keep up!
Cheers,
Lance

Fantastic progress, Gary. It is indeed interesting to see a different approach to the assembly sequence. Anyway, you are very close to the gala finale. ;)

With my RE.8 now done it's time to move on with this Roland, so here's a few pics of the progress. I've cut some masks to give the impression of the laminated wood strips, which will move around as I attempt to spray a darker brown over the buff coloured base on the fuselage sides.
Cheers,
Gary

Really clever technique on the fuselage woodwork Gary, I'm going to bookmark this little gem for when I finally pull mine out of the box. Thanks for sharing and really nice work once again!

Lance

Sweet Gary . I have seen this method in the Air Modellers Guide To WNW kit's vol 1 . Awesome book ! Looking forward on seeing how this turns out .
