Thanks Steve & Bud,

I think the .030 will be just fine .... well at least that is what Tom tells me with his machine ..... heats the plastic very slowly so we should get a very even pull..... Keeping fingers crossed ..... also will be adding almost full internal structure....

   Ken,
The .30 stock does indeed work just fine my old friend. On my old home made vac rig I started using the .30 stock mainly out of impatients with waiting for the .40 to get hot enough to drawdown properly. You'll end up with a very thin shell of a piece but with careful handling works great. I'm looking forward to seeing the results and especially the near full internal structure.
Keep up the outstanding work.

it could also be perceived as a "trouser trout" if you look at it at the right angle.har dee har, but seriously folks it looks like you got the profile dead on for the c.iv. i will enjoy watching this develop into another of your masterpieces ken.

Thanks Everyone for the kind words........ The sheet styrene came in a few days ago and my buddy brought over his vacuform machine today, and this is the result of my very first experiments with vacu-forming.... I am pretty pleased with the results ..... but I may pull a few spares just in case????

The parts look great, Ken.  In the last photo, the fuselage bottom looks seamless.  All your preparation paid off.
Cheers,
Bud

They all look like good solid pieces. No tissue thin edges and nice and smooth. Looking forward to the next steps!!

  Ken,
Your fuselage sections look excellent my old friend. That's some vacuforming machine your buddy loaned you. Sure beats the heck out of my homemade Flintstones machine. Keep up the outstanding works.

Looking good Ken!  Enjoy building up the cockpit.  I really like the way you have formed the fuselage as a 3-sided box.  Nice design!

Bob

Hello Ken:

This is quite interesting following your build thread here.  Now seeing the actual plastic.  You could go into business and sell these things!!

Looking good and will continue to follow your build and comments.

Best
