 Thanks Richard as always.
Some work into the uniform color.
The cavalry uniform has a slight green caste to it. I mixed oils to suit , applied and removed the next day:

This will work down nicely. Medals in gloss black.

  Thank you RIII.
 A little more continuation.
Working on the gloves I mixed oils for a nice effect and some idea as to how the leather coat will be done:

Also the boots get another color and wiped off:

And some rot for the hat band:

Ill work this up as everything else. Not so 'The Blue Max' vermillion , as much as a more believable fabric color.
I'm starting to like the fig , important to the work , and getting more acquainted with its characteristics.

Very nice and careful painting. I like the subtle shadings.

Thank you Borsos and RIII!

As the work flows on figs there is a satisfaction to knowing its going in the right direction. This develops as  you go....Tunic buttons have been sourced in p/e so another little problem solved . Heads are coming along nicely as well. This fig is decently sculpted , the prep work in undercutting is essential , especially in the leather coat/tunic area for a clean definition.
So some careful painting leathering up the coat:

The last bit of research will be regarding the shoulder epaulettes , I have no info as to how they should look , another forum supplied answers on the tunic so I'll try there.

This is looking good, Krow.  At first I wasn't so sure about the green uniform, but after your work on it, it looks right.

RIII Thanks as always...
Terri , very welcome...
p90 - Welcome aboard.
And yes I do go about things differently than the usual methods! I'm happy with the uniform in its near completed state.
My thread on The Aerodrome forum  (The Baron) is yeiding valuable info on the Baron and his attire , a def good read on the matter.
And true to form gave up the info on the epaulettes , as applied paint is curing I'm moving into the middle of the work , about halfway done.

 Epaulettes:

And def time for an O/A shot to date:
