Thanks Zac - So glad it's not just me  8)
The number of times "just enough pressure" to mount the extra wing turns into "wings pancaking onto one another"...!

I have also reached that conclusion! And it goes well with my idea that alla builds start out as flawless and full of opportunity only to be reduced and limited by each step in the build. The largest problem is of course that if you let this realisation get to you, you won't be able to finish a build again. :) So ignore it and press on! :D

Absolutely right. Working commercially I quickly found that getting the job completed was better in the long run for your learning rather than endlessly trying to produce something 'perfect'  ;D

LOL Zac - that's exactly why the original went back onto the shelf of doom (and the appaling amount of dust I was managing to get each time I added a layer of paint!)

Well not as much progress on these this week as I'd like, but sometimes other stuff just gets in the way  ::)

Managed to stick a few bits together and get a bit of weathering done on both so we're now ready to assemble I think. (I also replaced the tail on the silver one because I kept knocking the damn elevator off and it was getting tattier and tattier so eventually I just picked another one out of the box and repainted to match)

I'll lay off the coffee today so hopefully I'll be able to do some assembly without breaking anything  ;D

Well if that don't put the tin hat on it :-[ Managed to get the wing onto the silver one to my satisfaction after three attempts (To be fair it was okay after the second, but then I managed to partially break it off so decided to remove it and do the job properly)

Anyway back to my original rant, if I may . . . .just added some rigging which has worked better than expected by taking it very slowly. Now that it's finished I realised that the reason the monofilament looks 'chunky' is that I picked up the wrong line and the stuff I used is twice the thickness of the intended (.12mm rather than .06mm) >:( Buggered if I'm removing it at this stage though. So I'll press on with the final details over the next couple of days and post some pics at the weekend

Fascinating to see how small it is compared to your hand (I'm guessing you have normal sized hands :) ), because the first picture really doesn't show it to small at all. Well built!

Yep normal sized hands, but it is a bit of a tiddler.

Funny the drawings in the Datafile look okay, but when you have a strut which is only 6 or 7 mm long and it pings off somewhere into the depths of the room you re-assess slightly ;D ::)

Thanks guys  :D

Nearly there WD. Been working on the rigging so just the touching up and top mounted Lewis to sort out (My dog died a couple of weeks ago so haven't felt much like doing anything really. Just starting to do a bit more modelling now)
