Thanks Steve. I appreciate the comment and yes it will be colorful. One of the reasons I chose this scheme. One thing I forgot to mention is that I actually got the bands masked and painted correctly on my first try. No corrections needed. I LOVE Tamiya Tape for Curves!!!  8)

Amigo, this is shaping up to be your best Albatros yet!  Your application of the red over the lozenge is perfect!  Love the colors!  And thanks for the tip on Tamiya tape for curves.  Didn't even know it existed.  Just ordered some.

I have painted the base cote and added the wood effect with Acrylic Oils. I added more "pattern" than I usually do. Not sure how I feel about the results  :-\
