Really impressive Rick! Great modelling. Proof of how nice Roden kits can look with some careful modelling work.

Dave,
I appreciate your comments and agree that Roden kits can certainly be built to look terrific. Not as polished as WNW OOB but certainly worth the effort in my opinion!

I am especially struck by the staining on the wood in the engine compartment and the fuel tank - that is really good painting and so realistic.

Just catching up with this one. Looks really great. The wood work is brilliant as is the interior detail. Intriguing to watch a non Wingnut model unfold. I'll keep in touch with your build from now on.

Thanks for sharing.

Just received this yesterday. Aviattic Albatros pale blue undersurface decal. I felt the need to try some fabric weave decals on this one  8)

A small update. I have added the plug wires and installed the WNW engine. I have also now glued the fprward fuselage halves together.

I am sure you will notice the piece of sprue in front of the engine. I had to install this to properly space the forward fuselage/spinner opening. As I did not have to do this on previous Roden Albatri I assume there was warpage or I just screwed up  ???

Wow Rick, looking really good, I am saddened that so much detail will be lost when the cowling is closed up.  You are making this look like a WNW kit.  Looking forward to your progress.

Beautiful work on the engine wiring.  What did you use for the wires?  Agree that it will be a shame to cover it.

I agree with Dave - such a shame to cover up all of that detail. Could you leave the engine covers off?

Stephen.
