I spent a few hours of bench time today finishing the framework and beginning the interior painting process. I added some wrinkles to the interior using thick acryic craft paint. The interior surfaces were then sprayed with a mix of a Tamiya beige and white. Afterwards oils were used in the usual manner to create a wood effect. Next up once the oils dry will be washes and dry brushing to pull it all together.

Looking promising Rick! I have a 48th SE on my list so I'll be watching closely for inspiration.

Nice start with the wood work Rick and I like the fabric effect on the inside .

Thanks Zac. If you are going to build the 1/48th Roden kit If I recall correctly it pretty much assembles identically to this 1/32nd version. Although I don't think it had the engine?

Thanks Alexis. If all goes well today I will apply the washes, do some drybrushing, add some Tamiya clear orange to the frames, and finally add the bracing wires  8)

I have applied the washes to dirty up the cockpit. Also used Tamiya clear orange...sparingly. Finally the bracing wires have been added using stretched sprue. This is one of those cockpits that when all is said and done, not much shows.

That's handy to know, thank you. I'm happy without an engine.

Thanks Zac! I worked a bit on the seat and cut out the inspection panels on the tail surfaces yesterday. Today I hope to start adding a few details to the interior and work on the IP.

Yep  ;D  I did a bit more work Yesterday. I used British instruments from an Eduard WW1 PE set to enhance the IP. I am sure they are not in their proper place compared to the real bird but they do look better than No Instruments at all  8)
