Great result. The White Aluminum looks very good. The problem with the roundels is, of course, annoying.
It's like everyone says you don't notice it, but you look at the one mistake all the time.

Looking really nice so far Rick . I still make that mistake ever now and then on applying roundels , very annoying indeed .

Beautiful, Rick! Very quick progress and looking quite lovely... Took me quite a while to work out what misalignment (if any - I'm not convinced) of the roundels you're talking about....

Marc

That looks really good Rick. I could never build two models together - one would be inevitably be abandoned in favour of the other so I only build singly!

Thanks Monty. Yes the Misalignment is there. My fault entirely as CSM gives indicators as to where to line up each roundel piece.

Thanks Stephen. In this build it seems I have done what you suggest... moved on with one and sidelined, Temporariy, the other.  :-X

Continuing on. Still have the stenciling to apply but the major markings are done. I painted the cowling with Humbrol Matt Aluminum the polished with SNJ powder. Sealed with a coat of future. I attached the gear to bring it up to date. By the way I painted the tires a yellowish/pinkish/grey. Never done this rubber color before so just did it to see what it looks like. Don't know how accurate the color is but I do like the look  ::)

Nice clean, precise build of the fast little French fighter.  As for the gray tire color, this is correct.  The tires were this color because the black coloring of tires was of yet to be added during this time frame.  Looking forward to more of your thread.  I also like your cowl treatment.

Looking super Rick. As the other Rick has commented, the off-white to grey colour is correct for tyres of this period for the reasons given. However most mdellers seem to be unaware of this, including me who tends to use a dark grey!

Thanks for looking in and the comments Ricky! As for the tire color I have painted many light to mid grey. This is the first I have done leaning to the pinkish end of the spectrum  ;D

Thanks Ryan. I hope to finish this one up in the next couple of weeks so I can focus on the GB. The 24 is also still in my plans!
