Ah, here you are now. The answer to the question "what comes next" came faster than expected. I really like what you did with the engine. Did you already decide what color sheme you'll do?

That's a beautiful prop Frank. I did one for the 1:32 Roden D.III several years ago and failed on the first try however I was able to succeed by doing two 2 blade props and then joining them, I think not as efficient as your method with four blades from the beginning of the construction. The grain and veneer on this one look great!
Being in the larger scale I was able to use 8 layers of veneer, it took a lot more time then the standard props I usually produce.
As always your work is exceptional, and I'll look forward to following your progress on this beauty, one of my three top favorite WW.I aircraft.
Cheers,
Lance

Magnificent work on this project!

There's a 4 blade Wotan prop at the Auckland War Memorial in NZ.

It features a Wotan logo on each blade:

Very nice work there - the prop is brilliant!

Great choice in scheme - I did the same Dembrowsky machine in 1/32 and it looks very nice when complete

Most excellent work. one of the prettiest wooden props I have seen.
Can you say more about the wood you used? What kind is it? What thickness? Where can such pieces be had?
I have an old Eduard SSW D.III kit I have been looking forward to doing something with. Built one years ago and it was a bear to get through. Louvers come to mind as something of a nightmare. A stunning wooden prop may well take eyes off other parts.
