Really great build! Very thoughtful done, so you converted a old kit into a gem.
And I know the effort, because I build that old kit too and showed it here.

Cheers,
Frank

Thanks Frank, I saw your Pup you did an excellent work with the turnbuckles!

Just scrolling through some of the completed builds and your Pup really catches the eye.

It's a tidy build, the paint and weathering are just screaming "Patina" at the viewer.
It has the appearance of age and it looks used but cared for and not so much that that one thinks of a toddler rolled in mud, sitting in its own filth.

Brilliant!

Claudio,

Your Pup looks GREAT.  The interior work is fantastic.  And, that 1/32 Fokker in the comparison picture looks awesome too.

Absolutely perfect, Claudio!  One of the finest looking Pups I've seen in any scale.  Among the many standout features are your superb under wing shading and the overall satin finish.  Truly superb!
Cheers,
Bud

Kalt,
I have to say, the DR.1 is very impressive. The detail, careful finish, and the streaking as well says wonders for your skills .......... beautiful work!

The model needs a lot of corrections to get an accurate replica, is somebody is interested I can post a list.

Surprisingly it seems no one took you up on that list ... so yes, please post it.

Marvelous build!

Fantastic!!!

I have the Sopwith triplane from the same thing me period, and it is very basic.

How did you do the details inside  the inspection windows on the wings?

How did you do the details inside  the inspection windows on the wings?

It was quite simple. I made four cutouts for the control windows. Then, I scratchbuilt a pulley and its support. I made four resin copies of it. I painted and glued them in the wing cutouts. After that, I applied a light coat of an acrylic gloss varnish to protect the paint. With everything dry, I applied a few drops of an epoxy clear resin over the windows. I let it dry for some days and then sanded/polished smooth each window.
