a short while ago I got the book "Gulaschkanoe The German field kitchen in WW II and modern reenactment" by Scott l Thompson. It's about a re-enactor who gets hold of, restores and uses a WW II era German field kitchen. It contains lots of pics recepies ect. Also note the German Army WW I filed kitchen was practically the same as the WW II one and they most likely ate the same food in both world wars.
