Hi Rick...these go pretty quickly if you don't screw them up!  I do some additional painting on some but these will just have some edges painted and maybe some control surfaces picked out.  No decals, gloss coats, setting solution etc.  Still a fun challenge to put together.

Got the wings all done on both.  I shall start the fuselages tomorrow.  They may prove a bit tricky with the knife edge ventral portion.  We'll see!

Cheers,
Dan

All (Rick!),

I started the fuselage by getting the skeletons started and then began the interior on the Polish machine.  You can see the parts are all cut out and then slot together.  The interior is just folded and fits between some formers and I folded and added machine gun breaches.  I'll see if I can start skinning this one a bit tonight.  On to the shots!

I still need to add some belts and the control stick.  But coming along nicely!

Looking pretty cool...Dan

Looking very good. Really nice build skills here.

The idea of no clear coats appeals to me, something I am still getting to grips with on 1/32 kits......

The interior framework looks awesome as does the gun butts and interior wood. Must be nice to do wood without Oils or Decals  8)

Thanks, Everybody!  Much appreciated.

Yup...printed wood is kind of nice for a change. I keep thinking it's really cheating, but then I see decal wood and think...hmmm?  Maybe not!  Although I think that takes much more skill to put on and make it look good!  I've never attempted that before...

Just a shot or two of the sides beginning to take shape and a mock up of what the lower wings will look like.

I'll try and get the decks on tonight!  Stay tuned...

Dan

So you have done what would take me about two years with the beautiful Aviattic Resin kit in a couple of days  ;D Lovely work!

Gotta say, Rick...yours looks MUCH smoother and nicer.  Just a different medium I guess.  Though...the turtle decking and front section turned out to be a real bear on this one.  Not sure if I just wasn't accurate in cutting or the formers are off but not much really fit.  I did cobble it together and the nose radiator fit well sooooo...we're just going with it!  I also added inspection panels on the fuselage and the cockpit edging.  Getting close to adding the tails and lower wings now.

We'll see how much more I get done tomorrow...Cheers and thanks for looking!

Thanks, Rick...I like the wood too. I'm not sure if I'll try varnishing with some semi gloss or not.  Maybe just leaving it as is will be best.

Tonight I added the tails, rigged them and got the ventral tank in place under the center section.  I think it's a tank, but I'm not too sure.  Anyway...I wasn't sure how the stab went on and looking at the real plane, it seems part of the decking is cut so that's what I did.  This isn't clear on the model or the "plans" for the model.  My fix looks ok when done.

And here's that tank.  It went on really nicely and included some straps too.

And one last one.

Just noticed I also added the gun housings on either side as well!

Next are some engine exhausts and then the fuselage will be done after some more seam treatment on that turtle decking.  Then, on to the lower wings.  Going apace now!

Cheers,
Dan

Thanks, Rick...got a little busy with my son graduating from high school etc. but tonight, I got the bottom wing on and fitted the top wing as well with the interplane struts. As usual, they have a thin wire inner part with a paper sleeve.  Looks the part when done!

Now it's on to the cabanes tomorrow and maybe the landing gear and tail skid next.  We'll see what Father's Day brings!  ;D  Hopefully a model or two!!

To all the fathers and soon to be fathers out there, Happy Father's Day!!!!!!!!!

Cheers,
Dan

Looking very good. It's very impressive what you are able to achieve with paper, card and balsa.
