Thank you Giuseppe, Rick, Guy, PrzemoL and Andreas!
I wish I could hire you out to rig all my models Frank...
That would be a full time job, but I would not be able to do that rigging the whole day. And beside that sanding wooden props?
Sorry, I have not enough time to build all the nice kits in my stash ...
Still, I have a doubt. I remember when building my F.2B I could not find any photo from the era showing the shutter control mechanism depicted in the TVAL replica. Have you got any confirmation for this, seemingly pure-WNW concept?
May be you are right, good point!
One confirmation is the technical point of view. There is no way inside to control it, because of the radiator. So even the thin pipes of the sync gear of the Vickers-MG running around the radiator and run into the fuselage just behind it. So it seems plausible.
And on the Windsock Datafile vol 2 there is on page 15 a picture showing the wires and lever very similar, even if the shutter itself is a different type.
Many pictures showing earlier F.2 wihtout a shutter at all, but if with shutter, I think it needs to be controllable.
I am curious to see that one in reality next weekend.
And I am curious to see you (and your face with seeing my (newer) models the first time)

The rudder is in place and control wires added too - again a special story! I need to prepare update and pictures ...
So I will not add further parts, but I need to apply some light weathering with oils and pastells.
Cheers,
Frank
