Thank you for the comments guys, appreciated!

meanwhile I put topwing on and I am halfway through the rigging already :)
I also scratched bits of the naked nascelle, using wire that I chemically blackened and then painted. Also the lower surface of the lower wings is shown before and after the oils weathering. The nascelle at the last picture is not glued, just the cover is put there to see how it will look :)

The dials are very crisp, how did you paint them?

Thanks Ryan

Truly magnificent work, Alex!  Your weathering is in a class all it's own.  I've never been a fan of this scheme, thinking it rather dull.  Well, seems I'm rather dull.  This is spectacular!
Cheers,
Bud

Again thank you guys for the cmments!

The dials are very crisp, how did you paint them?

Thanks Ryan

Ryan,

the dials...hmm...after the wood effect was done, I cleaned the dials with alcohol and cotton bud, then painted them with brush and decalled. After the decals I put a drop of clear gloss on each dial and this made them a bit more visible. Can't rememmber anything special...or maybe I put a drop of white (PVA) glue as it becomes crystal clear and spherical a bit like magnifying glass or prism. Just be sure to check the glue somewhere if it really dies clear as some are becomming a bit misty.

I have a feeling I also will pay waaaaaaay to much for one at some point too!
And then pay waaaaay to much for a Harry Tate!
