I started this back in May and have just got round to finishing it. Not my finest work I have to admit. Used Aviattic Lozenge and the Pheon decal set as Roden decals are famously fragile and difficult to apply. Also I got the markings completely wrong as I choose a set from the earlier D111 which had a different nose and tail assembly but what's done is done. Had I read the instructions from Pheon correctly I would've been aware that Loot make a conversion set but as I said what's done is done. I've basically created a plane that didn't exist!!
Colours used were Vallejo MA Fire Red and Mediterranean Blue.
EZline was used for the rigging along with Gaspatch turnbuckles.
I've learnt a lot though, especially re turnbuckles and the rigging thereof. Next time I'll use some of Bob's famous products and substitute monofilament for EZline as it will be easy to loop through the eye of the turnbuckle and back into a sleeve.
Anyway here is the chimaera of sorts ::)

Congratulations on completing a difficult Build Toby. It's a fine looking model even if a little "outside" the references! There's a lot of stumbling blocks and traps in this Kit and you whipped them all nicely. I enjoyed following your progress here and, as stated earlier, would not hesitate to do another after watching your efforts.
Well done, and you've earned a chilled Ale or two!
Cheers,
Lance

i particularly like the thought you put into what part of the bus should be what level of gloss. gives it a 'real' feel by looking like it's made from several differnet materials. well played that.

That was obviously not an easy build Toby, and you certainly had some frustrating moments on the way!. Your unconventional scheme should not worry you too much as probably only you would notice it!

Personally I think that this is a first class model - beautifully finished with great contrasts in tone and shade. Really looking forward to your next build log.

Stephen.
