I gave up using Imgur and now compress the pictures I take on a free photo app. I usually post a couple of pictures each time.

Flickr is quite easy - just sign up for a free account and upload your photos to Flickr. To imbed a photo from Flickr, look at your photo in Flickr and click on the third of the four white icons at the bottom of the screen (a curved arrow pointing to the right). A box will pop up saying "Share 1 photo to:" with four options - Share Emebed Email BBCode. I always click on BBCode which generates some text in the box starting [url= . Make sure you highlight and copy all the text in this box and then paste it into a reply here and your photo should appear.
