Aviatik Berg D.I//Flashback//1:48 no. 101.09

Good Day!
Being encouraged by Des with D.I I have decided to pick up mine from the stash. I am going to do D.I base on the rough kit manufactured by Flashback. First impression is rather optimistic but it would definitely need some amendments. The resin engine looks like..I am not able to give any resemblance but I do have some old resin AD purchased long time ago, so those will be my footing for adjustment.

I'm looking forward to following along, K. I have this one in my stash, so I'll be taking notes.
Cheers,
Bud

Nice, I will follow too, since I have the kit 8922 (the one with the big colorful decal) in my stash.
Please report pitfalls!
Cheers,

thanks guys,
At the beginning I decided to alter just top of the engine being visible after assembly. But once started I have done all necessary amendments and here you have the results

A very nice AD indeed. The blob from the box is useless so good that you`ve decided to replace it.

Thanks!
First attempt for woodgrain cockpit structure is done. After drying I going to do little touch-up. The woodgrain pattern in lower part might not be correct vs panels structure but I would not pay special attention as barely visible after assembly
also prepared the pilot seat

thanks!
In the meantime I decided to go for wooden carved prop - 2nd attempt
Knolley –Jaray requires little more sanding and should be ok

Keep on doing..
The dashboard is ready and implemented with all stuff into the fuselage half. I have enhanced the steering wheel, added the magneto and wires

The instrument panel turned out really well as did the rest of the interior, nice work on the propeller also.
