Ho Borsos,

I think you are missing the point about the lilac. It was a colour recorded by the French on some German aircraft during the 1915-16 period - not the later mauves/purples introduced to replace the red-brown.

Yes, having read your post on the French Connection, Now I am wiser  . Still some doubts regarding just one source talking about lilac, but that might quite probably be the lethargy to question certain things that seemed to be sure for so long.
