Hi friends,

put some colors to the wings and completed the stitching - as Filip did. The structure of the models wings is extraordinary good, it´s like a kind of "stressed skin". The first time you can see this on a WWI kit. With such a surface I guess you could achieve a shine through effect by drybrushing instead of airbrushing.

Next step will be to complete and close the cockpit. In the meantime Edgar has sent the get lost (carpet Monster...) PE parts. What a great customer support!

I think in 1917 the French pilots flew with seat belts so added some spare belts (I know it´s far away from HGW belts...)

That is really going well. BTW from experience of building one of these in 1/72 scale do follow Edgar's advice on adding the nacelle rigging before attaching the top wing.

I agree with My Amigo.... although I hope "Mine" will be in 1/32nd scale

I have a feeling we'll both realise that ambition Rick; my only concern is how to keep up with all of the neat new stuff coming available..... Camels, Taubes, and the hint of some Caudrons!

Just a small update, sorry for the delay (but in real life sometimes I´ve to work a lot...)

Now all PE´s are fixed to the wings

I tried to simulate "shinethrough"

first start with rigging (Uschi line painted pale blue)

Cockpit closed

attaching the decals is no problem with the help of Micro set/sol and a scalpel

I added spare decals to the rpm indicators and scratched an instrument that seems to be a kind of fuel gauge
