That looks really good Toby. Printing markings is not so difficult - just make sure that you put enough varnish on them before immersing them in water, otherwise they are straightforward enough.

Thanks all.
Some more fettling done. Cockpit rim painted and  exhaust  fitted along with aileron levers. Also for the footholds on the side of the fuselage I used .3mm plastic rod rather than what came with the kit as it looked too thick.

I have made the decals but not overly impressed with the quality. Time will tell if I choose to use them or not.

She is coming along quite nicely, looking forward to seeing the decals go on.  Good luck, have enjoyed what you have done.

This is looking quite beautiful Toby! I really like your camo pattern, you have coped well with the corrugations and the colours are gorgeous... The details will make it! Regards, Marc

I have to say everyone was right about the decals. They are appalling. I've tried to rescue them but I fear too much damage  has been done. Hey ho. :-\

I've actually managed to rescue the decals more than I thought I could. Still need some tidying up but better than I had originally hoped for.

Have not dropped in recently Toby - wow you are making an excellent job of that one! How did the transfers settle into the corrugations? I always had problems in the past with models such as the Ju 52 which had corrugated surfaces.

I used warm water to settle them followed by liberal amounts of MicroSol. Once dry I pressed them down with tissue paper then applied more MicroSol and once dry  several coats of Vallejo gloss varnish.

Decals now on the lower wing. Unfortunately on the left they broke up but I used white and black decal strips to repair the damage
Also prop painted along with wheels and tail decal applied and varnished.

NIce work on the undersurface cross, rudder, and wheels. Really shaping up nicely!
