Messieurs !

On a recent trip with the Bavarian Army Museum I met a former member of the MBB ( Messerschmitt-Bölkow-Blohm) firm.
He told me that then 4 machines where restored; the fabric is restored, not original.
As a side story, Long ago the german WW1 ace Beaulieu-Marconnay worked for MBB, too .

Kind regards, Gunther

A great and valuable set of pictures all the same and well worth inspecting, but be wary..

best wishes, Richard

Well said -- it is a wonderful piece to behold in person; I recommend the experience -- but there are many strange things about that Rumpler!

I just wish I had gone out to the Schleissheim annex while I was in Munich… sadly I was ignorant… next time!

I've said it before, those are some amazing photos and excellent reference. Thanks so much for sharing. I can only imagine how it is seeing the Rumpler in person. Maybe these photos will make me want to start my Rumpler....

Hello,

I've been to this museum three or four times and this is my favourite piece!!! :) I know It is restored and not correct but I can definitely see it as a brilliant diorama with some figures(visitors) looking at it :)
