First, thanks to all for the very kind words on my little Fokker!!! And thanks for all the welcomes to this site!!!
The build was pretty trouble free and completely OOB. Typical WNW quality, making a mediocre modeler like myself look like a pro!!! As is typical with WNW kits, they go together pretty nicely with the usual caveats. Make sure you clean the paint away from joined surfaces and make sure all the sprue gates and mold seams are perfectly cleaned up so you won't have any significant fit issues. The only real problem I encounter with WNW kits, is their devoted attention to scale thickness parts, and this makes some parts quite fragile. In the case of the Fokker, I did manage to snap off the horizontal elevators (I pretty much break something on every WNW kit!), but this was easily solved by careful pinning of the elevators to an appropriate sized brass rod. Most of the weathered look was achieved using various pastel sticks ground up in a coffee grinder and applied with a fan brush to simulate that streaky effect. I like using a coffee grinder as it gives random sizes to the pastel "dust" and this leads to some variations in the "streaks".
