Still the fascination with wooden planes? She must have sounded great. We're stuck with "stangs, Corsairs, hellcats, and the heavies at our shows.

They were there too. Plus there was the Vintage Aviatior ww1 stuff also.
And, jets and choppers, and 30,000 people. Awesome stuff. NZ has a lot
to offer the aviation nut  :)

All the best

Progressing slowly. Started on the Scarff ring, for twin Lewis guns,
hence the stays. A no. 2 ring had them as braces seemingly.
And the hatch at the back is done also. Have a good week lads.

Extraordinary work, Dave!  I'm glad those lovely wireless sets are so visible.

Cheers Bud, getting on with the Gunring and the silver
doped finish at the moment. Not as easy as I thought.
Metallic finishes and all that  :o

The scarf ring looks great Kong!  The acoutrements in the radio compartement is really a nice point of interest as well.  Outstanding craftsmanship all around.  Looking forward to seeing this silver NINAK.
I was in NZ once in 1977.  I was amazed to see a Short Sunderland.  Neat stuff.
Best

You should see NZ NOW  ;D
The Vintage Aviator, the old WW1 stuff; Warbird Restorations, etc.
Its an aviation geeks playground now, and getting better.
Hop on a plane......We've even got the Hobbit and suchlike.

Boy I would love to Dave.  I would love to get out of this arctic wasteland for the next three months and frolic in NZ.  I'd even bring my wife!  :-\
