DH9a Ninack
« on: August 28, 2012, 07:48:13 AM »
Just a quick, none to flash, pic, to prove that I have started
on the  old Ninack, which will be a Post war version used
in the policing, of what used to be, Britains' Empire.
Still not sure what one yet, but time will tell.

Cheers Chaps

Beautiful start on the engine, Dave.  Really looking forward to watching your progress on this one.  I only have 3 WNW kits and this is one of them.
Cheers,
Bud

I was wondering when someone was going to do a Ninak! I really like this aircraft (and it's predecessor, the DH4), so this will be one to watch. Have a great build, Dave!

I'm looking forward to watching this build, Dave.  Unfortunately the DH.9 in the AWM is behind glass, so you can only see one side and it's difficult to get detail shots.  It's the one flown by Parer and McIntosh from the UK to Oz and is in civvie livery.  I'll see if I can get up there and get some better piccies in the next week or two.

Dal.

Many thaks Dal. You're a good man. I've been putting this one
off for a while now, but now that I've started, it will be all good.
Still need some research, as I go, so many thanks for any good
detail pics you get . . . . Cheers from NZ

Dave, there's a very good walk around in the "Aircraft" folder, which was put up by Des that will be of use.

"Good man"?  Me?  Only if you don't mention the Bledisloe Cup, mate.   :'(

Bledisloe.....that's a step too far Dal....be gone with you!! ;D

The AWM displays are a bit annoying in relation to photography - an iPhone does not suffice unfortunately :(

They are truly awesome though and a must see for any Canberra visitor!!
